The journey so far

Eric Wieckmann, often known as 'Captain Eric' has been involved with children's work for the last 20 years.  In fact, he was even a child himself once!  He was awarded the MTC (Ministry to Children) children's worker of the year  in 2000.  Nominated  for citizen of the year in 2002 and won citizen of the year for Casey City in 2005. He sees some 10,000 children a year in Australia and overseas.

'Captain Eric' lives and works in the Casey region of Victoria where he works on behalf of the churches in their ministry to the school communities.  . There he founded C.H.I.P.S. (Christians Helping In Primary Schools) because God values children and all those who care for them.  (Matthew 18:1-14)

Eric is a professional and highly skilled communicator to people of all ages.  He is often called on as a guest speaker for his dynamic visual presentations, which inspire and motivate people for life change. He is a regular speaker for School Speech Nights, Leaders Retreats and Seminars.  Eric has lectured at Harvest and Tabor Bible Colleges and has been a Council Member of Christian Council of Education (CCES) now called Access Ministries”

Eric specialises in improving self-esteem and overcoming life controlling problems.  He shares powerfully from his own  personal experiences.

Eric is married to Cathy and they have three children - Daniel, James and Sophie.

"C.H.I.P.S is an organisation I believe in, because it values children (and the people that care for them), in practical ways.

Programs are great, but nothing beats having positive people in your life.

C.H.I.P.S connects people to people who care."
